It’s no secret that migrating emails from one client to other is a fierce job. Though, there are email clients that support popular data files so importing and exporting data between them is relatively easy. But in case if the files aren’t supported, you could be in for a big trouble.

Emlx format is associated with Mac Mail for storing data. Mac Mail saves each email as separate .Emlx file within messages folder within a .Mbox folder. This was implemented by Apple for the first time in OS X Tiger when Mail 2.0 was launched.
